When you transfer your phonebook to SYNC®, say the person's name and SYNC will call for you. You can also say a person at a location, such as "Call Mom at home." Turn on the Automatic Phonebook Download feature, and every time you connect your Bluetooth®-enabled phone, it will update any additions or changes you've made to your contacts.27,48

Before you start
There are a few things you should do before starting step 1:
- Make sure that your phone is compatible with SYNC by checking our compatibility chart
- Pair and connect your phone to SYNC
- Your vehicle must be in Park and running, not in Accessory mode
- Familiarize yourself with the controls in your vehicle

Press the Phone button to access the Phone Menu. Press OK.

Press the Arrow buttons until Phone Settings displays. Press OK. Phone Status displays.

Press the Arrow buttons until Modify Phonebook displays. Press OK.

Press the Arrow buttons until Add Contacts displays. Press OK.

Press the Arrow buttons until Download or Confirm Download displays. Press OK. Phonebook Downloading displays.
You can download up to 2,000 entries. The process can take a few minutes, depending on the number of contacts. When the download is finished, Downloaded displays.
Quick Tip
Turn on the Automatic Phonebook Download feature
When transferring your phonebook, SYNC prompts you to turn on the Automatic Phonebook Download feature. Select "Yes," and all additions and changes you make to your phonebook will be transferred automatically every time you connect your phone to SYNC.
