How SYNC with MyFord Touch keeps you connected
SYNC with MyFord Touch uses Bluetooth® wireless technology to pass information between your vehicle and your phone. You can use voice commands and other simple controls—such as steering wheel buttons—to make and receive calls or listen to text messages. Whatever your phone can do, SYNC lets you do so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.48
Like a universal remote control, SYNC controls other systems besides your phone. SYNC connects you to:
Entertainment, including AM/FM radio, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, or music and video on USB, SD Card, and AV devices
Navigation assistance (if equipped), including maps
Information such as turn-by-turn directions, weather, traffic, news, sports scores, and more through SYNC Services or SiriusXM Travel Link
SYNC is customized in each vehicle, so the design is different, but the basics are the same. In vehicles with MyFord Touch, the 8-inch touchscreen in the center console lets you view information and adjust Phone, Entertainment, Navigation (if equipped), and Climate settings.
