There are four ways to get directions, traffic alerts, and other travel information with SYNC.
* SYNC Services is available with SYNC-equipped vehicles and may require you to purchase a subscription. In order to access SYNC Services, you must add a mobile phone number – and select it as Active – when setting up your SYNC Owner account. The Active mobile phone associated with your SYNC account must be Bluetooth®-enabled, and you’ll need to turn it on, pair it, and connect it with SYNC before you can start using SYNC Services.48
Speak directly to a live operator with the Operator Assist package, which comes with available SYNC Services, once activated. You're connected to turn-by-turn voice directions, live Operator Assist support, and 411 Business Search and can speak with a live operator at any time for help with your search.64
Save your favorite addresses for targeted traffic updates. You can also create alerts for traffic conditions in your region, which will be sent via text message to your mobile phone. You can personalize traffic reports and alerts through your registered SYNC Owner account, once activated.
Visit MapQuest® from your home or office computer to locate a destination and send it to SYNC. SYNC prompts you to download the directions and will then read them to you turn-by-turn.52
The optional SD Card Navigation system with SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link (if equipped), combines GPS technology with 3D mapping and voice-guided turn-by-turn directions. Activate your six-month trial subscription for a variety of infotainment services. SiriusXM Traffic gives you continuously updated traffic information and traffic-related incidents. SiriusXM Travel Link delivers local fuel prices, weather information, movie listings, sports scores, and schedules.
To interact with SYNC, use voice commands . Listed below are some commonly used voice commands for directions and traffic information, using either SYNC Services or SiriusXM Travel Link (if active).
